Betser’s claim that Yoni’s actions during the rescue almost caused its failure, making him responsible for his own death as well as the deaths of three hostages, has been seriously debunked by not only Iddo’s interviews but by the work of Israeli journalist Ariella Ringel-Hoffman, who published “The Unfinished Battle” on the 30th anniversary of the raid.
