Seats very comfortable & bed was great, manage to sleep about 5 hours going out & 3 coming back. The seats are the best I have found in Prem. A row of 3 with my 2 kids eitherside of me. Loved the electronic window shades, and Virgin's cabin service was great.

ASA is available on a per sector basis only. The seat configuration is a nuisance as you have to have the bed made or as a recliner. SeatGuru User on I am 5ft8 and I was comfortable enough considering the skinny seats all airlines seem to be transitioning to in economy.
The crew were excellent, but Virgin Atlantic either need to stop cramming people in like battery hens, or restrict the recline on the seats.
Staff are always friendly but they always seem to have a habit of SLAMMING cupboards all night long. The crew on this fight was excellent.

I flew to HKG from LHR for 12 hours in this economy aisle seat. Plenty of knee room. There was no divider between seat A and B, and there were media boxes under the seat infront slightly reducing the width of the legroom. These seats are referred to as Extra Legroom Seats. For those who prefer their bags up in the storage compartment, no problem; plenty of space in those. At best, it is very strange. The seat its-self is much firmer than other planes though, use of the blanket made it a bit better. I did the outgoing hk lhw leg in 53k, this has a limited leg room on the right due to the door slide which makes the occupant sit at an angle if you are tall, not great. Both good all around.
Note the center seat has limited legroom due to an underseat video box.However aisle seat C has plenty of leg room. Features of the aircraft include: This is stupid , but yet another obstacle in booking a flight with Virgin.I had already booked to fly with my daughter and 9 month old grandson, but can not seat together as Virgin will only allocate their basinet seat 24 hours before flying and I can not book these seats as they have been blocked. I have seen crew up the temperature to subdue the passengers on overnight flights before but on both flights the 787 got so cold most passengers I saw grabbed coats and scarfs.
All the side seats in the rows 46-51 ABC, HJK all had extra legroom. The seats are very narrow, and do not recline enough to be comfortable without making up the bed.
