The Homegroup strategically leaves out the folder you probably don‘t want to share: your Documents folder. Press Windows key + X > computer management-->shared folders--> choose the shared folder, right click it then click Properties > Share Permissions -->protection that everyone can read and execute, see folder contents and read permissions. Easier to abandon Windows 10 rather than my "Working" windows 7 PCs.It is inconceivable to me that Windows 10 does not have functional support for workgroups with a Microsoft account.I have used "net localgroup users" to find the local aliases on the Windows 10 PC, but even these local aliases do not appear to be used on the LAN! 1.
