Our dinner came with salad or soup, rolls and desert. Last night they suspended a hearing for hours that had dozens of people in attendance who were in support of an item, and when they reconvened after everybody went home, they voted against public sentiment. Fortunately we had a great waitress but this will probably be the last visit for us.
Always thought the location was a bit sketchy. I usually get the steak combo and both times, the steak was absolutely BLAND! Food was excellent, pricing is mid range, Ribeye was $29.00 so sort of up there BUT atmosphere…""I'm driving from Hartford up to Harry's to meet a friend for dinner and the toll…""It makes me laugh some of these reviews on here.
From classic seafood to globetrotting flavors, the offerings at these Boston Seaport restaurants are bound to whet your appetite. Our waitress couldn't have tried harder to please us. The popcorn was good but the cheddar cheese and Pepperidge Farms crackers was incredible. When you charge prices thinking you are an Alicante restaurant then you put a stuffed shrimp in front of me in a casserole dish consisting of slimy shrimp covered in breadcrumbs ... noT even stuffed .. you need to think about regrouping.This place doesn't ever disappoint. It's back on the top our list for local restaurants without going to Boston.Owner is on the mendon planning board and utilizes small town tactics to make decisions against public sentiment. Would have given a 5 star rating but after dinner we went to the bar and the bartender wasn't friendly at all. Which he absolutely loved.

I had passed New England Steak and Seafood so I turned around and decided to dine there. A nice chunk of prime rib at a pretty good price. You could spend hours perusing all of the things they have hanging from the ceiling and walls. I had the best(huge 10oz) prime rib, my husband had chicken parm. On top of that, I've asked for a medium rare steak and it was medium. On our first few visits, the male bartenders were all business with a not-too-warm greeting. I've been going here for years and had a lovely time this evening. Great price and awesome food. The New England House restaurant focuses on the art of keeping it local, keeping it fresh and working within the season while supporting local farms. The bread/cinnamon roll basket in the beginning with crackers, and cheese is where it's at.
